Ethically and Responsibly Bred, Health Tested Golden Retrievers for ALL
Est 2019 - Treasure Valley, Idaho

Meet the crew that didn't make the cut!
Our overall goal is to better the golden retriever breed as a whole and that means that we must be picky about our breeding dogs! Sometimes doing right by the breed means not breeding at all. Not every dog is meant to be bred- and that is how it should be!
Dogs who have been released from our program

Mountain Reign's Golden Girl of GG CGC TKN VHMA DS TDN
POPPY- now working as a facility dog in a special needs children's facility.
Poppy was a tough one to let go! Poppy was one of the first females we purchased and also the first we decided to cut from our breeding program. Shortly after purchasing her we began hearing stories of her family members, her sire and a few siblings, who were experiencing extreme behavioral issues as well as major health concerns like autoimmune diseases and early cancers. So to avoid the possibility of passing along any of these issues, even though Poppy herself passed her health testing as was healthy, we spayed Poppy and placed her with our good family friend. We are big believers in bettering the golden retriever breed and we made the call to spay Poppy as we felt that she might not be able to contribute to that goal. She was never bred and loved her job as a therapy dog so much that we wanted to give her the opportunity to continue doing it as a full time job! She now resides in Southern California and to gets to work with special needs kids as a facility dog with her new handler and owner who she also performs service taskf for!

Mountain Reign's Spirit of Adventure TDP
INDIE- residing with her co-own family.
We kept Indie back from an early litter with our main stud Ruger in hopes of one day breeding her. She was placed in a co-own home with our family friends, who had a rough time with raising and training Indie as a puppy. Indie frequently experienced allergies, food sensitives and bouts of high energy that her co-own family struggled with! Because of these issues, and the relation to our first female, Poppy, we made the decision with her co-own family to spay Indie and let her go from our breeding program. Our goal is to produce healthy, stable, and well-rounded family dog's and we felt that Indie could not contribute to that goal. Indie is now a mentally and physically mature adult dog and is doing much better! She works as a service dog for her family and has mastered her public access skills and we couldn't be more proud of her! Not every dog is meant to be bred and we want to make sure we are passing along on the best traits and qualities in our dogs. For that reason, we HAVE to be picky about what dog's we breed!

Pilgrim Mountain Reign's Remington Son of Ruger
REMINGTON
We kept Remington back from a previous breeding with Ruger and Pilgrim Goldens and placed him in a co-own home with our family friend. Remington was sent to a hunting program at a young age where he unfortunately was mistreated and "worked" unfairly. He came backs months later fearful and unwilling to "work" for his handler, sensitive to corrections and overall not the hunting dog capable to earning hunt test titles that we were hoping for. Then, when his health testing was completed, we found multiple cysts in both eyes, which is not considered genetic in origin. Although he DID pass his OFA eye exam, it was the final nail in the coffin for us. The decision was made to release him from our program and allow him to live out his days fetching golf balls at the country clubs rather than keep trying for hunt test training, which he does not enjoy. He now lives with his co-owner, who is now his primary owner, and we get to see him often!
