The Retirees

Meet the dogs that are now retired from our breeding program, these dogs either live with us, family members, or trusted family friends. It is never our intention to rehome our dogs that retire from our program but if we find a home that we know they will be happier in, we will!

JETTA

Miss Jetta of the Sky CGC TKN VHMA

Jetta came to us in the Spring of 2024, she was being rehomed from her previous family! We saw she looking for a new home with no feline family members ( she is not a fan of cats), and jumped to snatch her up. She's a close cousin of both Ruger and Kimber! Jetta is the first adult female we have added to our program and we couldn't have been happier with how she fit into our family. She is incredibly dog- neutral, gentle with our young kids, and extremely loving and sweet! She is so temperamentally stable and level headed, she adapted well to our home almost immediately, despite our young children and rambunctious puppies! In addition to her wonderful temperament, she is STUNNING! She has the darkest coat we have ever seen, a rich deep mahogany color that we hope she will share with her puppies! Originally bred by Ponderay Goldens, Jetta girl is quite the little hunter and although we have yet to get her out formally hunting, she loves nothing more than to patrol our yard for doves, squirrels and help us with rodent abatement! Although she is very driven and loves to work, she is a low energy girl who will spend most of her time lounging around the house as my "shadow." She is extremely socially attracted and loves to be around her people, cuddles and kisses are the best reward to her! We are so grateful to have found her, she has made a wonderful addition to our home and our hearts! Jetta had one beautiful large litter with us before officially retiring!

AMBER

Mountain Reign's Amber Waves of Grain CGC FDC TKN VHMA

Amber was the first female we bought for our program after seeing how amazing Ruger was and loving the breeder behind both dogs. Amber is a half sibling to our male Ruger and she is co-owned and living with our in-laws! Biddable, easy to train, with a lovely off-switch and a gorgeous minimally furnished dark golden coat, Amber is our most naturally environmentally stable and well rounded dog. She is especially fond of children and has a fan club of neighborhood kids that play with her daily! Amber is handler focused and is happiest when she's with her people. We can take Amber anywhere and ask her to do anything, she's always game and ready to tag along. We would consider Amber a medium energy dog with medium drive levels as well. She's content to lounge around the house all day but is always ready to chase some birds and have a good swim! Amber had a singleton litter in the spring of 2025 after three unsuccessful attempts tp breed her. We ended up placing her pup with our good family friends after making the decision to retire Amber from our program. Her one super special boy was kept as a co-owned dog and we are forever grateful for him and his perfect family.
