HAVEN- Certified Therapy Dog

Turning 2 and hopefully joining our program in April 2027

HAVEN

Haven fell into our lap a year ago and we fell in love with her so much so that we have since decided to completely remodel our program since owning her and experiencing our first "show dog." She came to us from Soul Desire Goldens in Utah, her sire, Thor, is a popular dual purpose boy. He boasts both a Show CH and hunting titles. We were thrilled to be able to welcome Haven into our home and hearts, she is truly heaven sent. She is one of the sweetest, calmest, goofiest, most easy going dog's I've ever know and she makes friends wherever she goes.

Haven is on the smaller side for a female, at just 22 " tall and is a bit longer in the torso than I'd like to see. She has a nice front with a prominent chest and good spring of rib. Her angulation is correct and she is a terrific mover in the ring, receiving compliments on her enthusiasm and reach each time she shows. She competed in IABCA and earned her International Champion title easily in the spring of 2026. The judges loved her personality, her movement and natural grace. In UKC she shows wonderfully and has gone reserve BOB up against some of the top dogs in the sport. We hope to find some more UKC shows with competition so she can finish up her UKC Championship by the end of 2026 and we will continue to show her in AKC as well.

Arguably the most important part, Haven's temperament is everything I want in a golden retriever. She is incredibly good natured and does not have a bad bone in her body, she gets along with dogs and people of all kinds, is extremely forgiving of mistakes and is submissive in nature with other dogs. She has a natural calmness about her and she even earned her therapy dog certification shortly after turning one year old with C4C. She visits with children and domestic violence victims weekly and thoroughly enjoys her "job" and should be earning her TDN title by the end of 2026! I hope to keep many therapy and show prospects from her line as she matures.

Being my first show prospect she has been a wonderful introduction into the extremely competitive golden rings in AKC. We are super excited to continue her show journey in multiple venues and hope to finish her UKC Championship by the end of 2026 and will continue to show in AKC as well.
